A bit about me
Because job hunting is not just about CVs — it’s about your heart, too
My story
Hi, I'm Josefina — a Peruvian, migrant, cat and chocolate lover.
After watching a documentary, something changed within me. I realized how profoundly design and technology influence our lives, which led me to decide on a career change. I left my job in the public sector in Peru and stepped into the tech world as a UX Researcher at an American startup. That was my first role in tech and a defining moment in my journey.
Later, I moved to Amsterdam to pursue a Master's in Digital Design. I fell in love with the city—its canals and creative spirit. Currently, I am searching for a job and am open to opportunities anywhere in the world.
Throughout my job search, which has often been uncertain but sometimes hopeful, I've understood something essential: building a strong CV or portfolio is important, and mastering interview techniques matters too. However, caring for your mental health is just as crucial. We need to learn how to cope with rejection and remember that our worth isn’t defined by our job. Being kind to yourself during uncertain times is essential.
I’ve been fortunate to have coaches and mentors who provided me with tools to quiet the voice of impostor syndrome and reconnect with myself. This space was born from that experience—a place to find emotional resources, share stories, build community, and support one another.
I truly believe that job searching can be an opportunity for reflection on what we want, a chance to get to know ourselves during times of transition, and a way to build resilience.
Bienvenida to this space. You’re not alone.
